GROUP FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (FC) /ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities :
  PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Manage and control the financial and administrative operations of the company/Group, to ensure timely, accurate and efficient financial systems, processes, reporting and statutory compliance. Ensure quality financial, commercial and operational input to business initiatives. Be part of the key finance staff/member in the due diligence working group preparing for IPO exercise. Ensure sufficient funding for business sustainability and growth. Participate in the board meeting, management meetings for review of business plans & strategies, employee share option scheme meetings and other internal meetings as required. 
  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Maintain & Prepare Financial Records, Analysis, Reports and Documentation Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax and shareholders’ requirements for monthly, quarterly & annual financial statements, reports, records and documentation. Prepare presentation & report to Board of Directors on the financial performance of the company at quarterly board meetings. Be involved in the annual statutory audit exercise, tax compliance filing & submission. Be involved in the internal control process and governance audit for Finance/Account division. Prepare the Annual Report & the quarterly results reports and announcements to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (Bursa) (once company obtained listing status) Assist in documentation with company secretary, bankers, legal advisor and any other professional or experts as the case may be. Planning, Forecasting and Information for Decision Making Prepare the internal budgets and forecasts to support the key management business plan and strategies for the Group. Support and provide input/analysis into decisions relating to investment proposals and projects for the Group. 
  PERFORMANCE MEASURES Meeting all reporting & statutory deadlines. Development and streamlining of finance reporting systems and functions. Maintaining timeliness, accuracy and adequacy of financial and management reporting supplied to the management, Board and other stakeholders. Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of legal and statutory compliance finance matters, with no major non-compliances following internal and external audits. Acting as a key team member in cross-functional teams. Development of direct reports and team members. 
  KEY RELATIONSHIPS Finance and administration team members of the Group CEO, COO and senior management team of the Group Board and Board Committees Bursa and relevant authorities Investors and shareholders External advisers/professionals - company secretary, auditors, tax agents, bankers, lawyers, internal control reviewers, industry market researchers, valuers etc. 
  COMPLIANCE IFRS & Malaysian accounting standards Companies Act 2016 Income Tax Assessment Act and indirect taxes legislation Goods and Services Tax Act Other indirect taxation legislation Internal control, policies and procedures Audit committee policies and charters and delegated financial authority (once listed) Bursa listing requirements & rules (once listed) Capital Market Service Act 2007 (once listed) 
   
Requirements :
  EDUCATION Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance. Member of MIA (Compulsory) Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA 
  EXPERIENCE Proven experience at a mid or senior level in a commercial environment (10-20 years). Staff supervision and management experience. Broad exposure to all levels of management reporting. Preparation and management of significant budgets, forecasts & projections Experience in the kind of initiatives the business is contemplating for growth, such as IPO, mergers, acquisitions, fund-raising exercises. Experience in preparing Annual Reports, Quarterly reports and announcements for listed companies on Bursa. 
  SKILLS AND ABILITIES Extensive knowledge of excel spreadsheet, accounting software & strong computer literacy skills. Development and implementation of strategy in financial related matters. Ability to provide strategic and commercial input to business decisions. Excellent communicator & presenter, both written and verbal. Strong technical accounting skills, negotiating skills and other desired traits.
