Reports directly to the MIA’s President, with overall responsibility for all strategic and operational activities related to the Institute’s daily operations
Accountable for both the governance and development of the Institute, overseeing operational and strategic aspects
Develops and implements strategic goals and objectives in alignment with the Institute’s mission and values
Leads, monitors, and manages MIA’s performance against set standards and targets, including operational efficiency, cost control, revenue generation, legal compliance, and human resources management.
Maintains and enhances the credibility of the accountancy profession with government organisations, the financial community, the media, and the public.
Requirements :
A bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent professional qualification in Accountancy, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field. A qualified Chartered Accountant, recognised by MIA or another professional accountancy body would be an added some advantages
A proven leadership portfolio with at least 15 years of experience in senior leadership roles
The candidate must exhibit a high degree of maturity and professionalism, given the seniority of the role, applicants are expected to be at least 45 years of age to align with the position’s leadership and strategic demands
In-depth knowledge of both local and international accounting profession issues
Strong networking skills with government organisations, accounting bodies, and private institutions
Strategic thinking with excellent business acumen and analytical skills
High level of integrity, energy, and resourcefulness.
